About the Role

As a Technical Delivery Manager, you will drive continuous improvement and apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques to deliver services and solutions of value. The Delivery Manager is a servant leadership role with responsibility across three key areas: agile & lean practices, team health & happiness, and production delivery support.  The Scrum Master role as defined in the Scrum Guide is a subset of this broader product delivery role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Agile scrum delivery management for a product data team working on high availability, cloud-based big data platform and services, Data Science and Machine Learning (DSML) projects such as message classification and filtering solutions, and delivery of other data management initiatives.
  • Contributing to a new platform evolution supporting elasticity and significant data volume growth driven by multiple mobile messaging channels: SMS, MMS and emerging RCS.
  • Supporting cloud-native data management, microservices and an API oriented architecture
  • Working in an XP oriented environment (test driven development, CI/CD, DevSecOps) utilizing best practices.

What to Bring

  • Around a minimum of 7+ years of experience working in a technical engineering domain; cloud-based event streaming, content/event search, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery.
  • Knowledge of SaaS products, web services or mobile messaging services with data-driven products in an Agile environment.
  • Core competence of professional software engineering practices surrounding data products/services, knowledge of different data architectures (e.g. data lakes, databases) and streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka or Spark etc.) as well as query and reporting tools.
  • Deep understanding of Agile and Lean Practices and can take the lead on a range of Agile techniques.
  • Ability to clearly communicate high level strategy and technical details effectively across organizational disciplines, technical partners, business owners and stakeholders.
  • Solid track record partnering with product management on strategy and requirements; including writing and/or decomposing functional requirements.
  • Act as a voice for the team; manage and direct communications for production releases / change mgmt.  
  • A continuous approach to planning, forecasting, estimating, managing uncertainty, metrics and measurements coordinating with other development teams.
  • Proven ability to solve issues and remove impediments or obstacles.
  • Engage in risk mitigation for the entire development process and streamline delivery commitments.
  • Foster an open and collaborative environment to work in, be flexible, adaptable and have a willingness to learn.

Nice to Have

  • Experience/knowledge of mobile messaging services like SMS, MMS, and emerging RCS.
  • Experience in working with DevOps and continuous delivery principles.


  • Computer Science degree, related degree field or equivalent work experience.
  • Kanban, scrum, lean or other agile training and/or certifications.
